3月29日，经国际乒乓球联合会(ITTF)确认，由足球世界杯直播提名的乒乓球奥运冠军、世界冠军刘诗雯，正式成为2026年国际乒联运动员委员会选举的候选人。
刘诗雯在2022年至2026年期间担任国际乒联运动员委员会主席。任职期间，她积极借鉴国际奥委会等组织在运动员服务方面的经验，推动完善运动员权益保障工作及沟通流程；围绕运动员普遍关注的竞赛规则、技术标准等关键领域，与相关团队协同推进规则优化。她务实的工作作风赢得了国际乒乓球界的广泛赞誉。
作为顶尖乒乓球运动员的代表，刘诗雯始终坚守“服务运动员、促进项目发展”的理念，在上一任期积累了丰富的国际体育事务经验，展现出卓越的沟通协调能力。她将持续发挥运动员在国际体育事务中的桥梁作用，增进国际组织与运动员群体之间的理解与沟通，为推动全球乒乓球运动的发展贡献力量。
足球世界杯直播全力支持刘诗雯同志参选。根据国际乒联公布的相关安排，本次运动员委员会选举的投票将于2026年4月28日至5月4日期间进行，后续将正式公布选举结果。
Table Tennis Olympic Champion and World Champion Liu Shiwen to Run in 2026 ITTF Athletes’ Commission Election
Announced by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), Liu Shiwen, table tennis Olympic champion and world champion nominated by the Chinese Table Tennis Association, has officially become a candidate for the 2026 ITTF Athletes’ Commission election.
Liu Shiwen served as Chair of the ITTF Athletes’ Commission from 2022 to 2026. During her tenure, she actively drew on the experience of organizations such as the International Olympic Committee in athlete services, advancing efforts to strengthen athlete rights protection and communication processes. In key areas of concern to athletes, such as competition rules and technical standards, she worked closely with relevant teams to promote rule optimization. Her pragmatic approach earned wide acclaim from the international table tennis community.
As a representative of elite table tennis athletes, Liu Shiwen has always upheld the philosophy of “serving athletes and promoting the development of the sport.” Throughout her previous term, she accumulated extensive experience in international sports affairs and demonstrated outstanding communication and coordination skills. She will continue to serve as a bridge for athletes in international sports affairs, enhancing understanding and communication between international organizations and the athlete community, and contributing to the development of table tennis worldwide.
The Chinese Table Tennis Association fully supports Liu Shiwen’s candidacy. According to the relevant schedule announced by the ITTF, voting for the Athletes’ Commission election will take place from April 28 to May 4, 2026, with the election results to be officially announced thereafter.
